For the third consecutive year, his colleagues in the House of Commons have chosen Mississauga South Liberal Paul Szabo as the hardest working MP on Parliament Hill. "It is a great honour to be recognized by one's peers and I very much appreciate the honour bestowed on me by my colleagues in the House of Commons," said Szabo in a statement issued last night after a gala event in Ottawa where he won the first hat-trick in the history of the Parliamentary Awards.

Other winners were NDP MP Megan Leslie (Halifax), who was named best rookie; the NDP's Peter Stoffer (Sackville–Eastern Shore in Nova Scotia) was named most collegial; Independent Bill Casey (Cumberland-Colchester in Nova Scotia) was cited as the best at representing his constituents and Joe Comartin (Windsor–Tecumseh) of the NDP who was deemed most knowledgeable.
